My Top Five Lipsticks

I am a self confessed lipstick whore. Nothing is better than buying a new lipstick! I have about 60 in total and always have my eye on a few more. So here is my top five out of all the lipsticks I currently own.

Number One: D'Lilac by Lime Crime

I like to think of this one as my signature colour. I absolutely love it. I know some people aren't a fan of Lime Crime but I think the range of colours and the look of the packaging is great. The only problem I have is that the plastic the lids are made of seems very flimsy. The lids on three of mine have cracked and one has never been outside the house! People always comment on this colour and are fascinated when I show them the super cute unicorn themed casing. If you haven't tried any of their lipsticks yet I would head to your nearest Space .NK. store to try them in person. The formula is very rich and creamy and the colour pays off nicely. I'm desperate to get my hands on the Chinchilla one next.

Number Two: Candy Yum-Yum by MAC Quite Cute Collection

This is one of these limited edition lipsticks I wish I bought five of. I think it's the greatest pink lipstick ever! I heard from a MAC MUA in one of the New York stores that they may bring it back for good. News that would make my life. It's a matte formula lipstick, which I prefer, has amazing colour pay off and is just faboosh!

Number Three: Blankety by MAC

This lipstick was an impulse buy in the MAC in Orlando. My dad had given me $200 dollars to spend, a lot of it went on Harry Potter merchandise (naturally) and whatever I had left went on MAC including this colour. Before Viva Glam Lady Gaga 2, I never ever would of thought of buying a nude lipstick but I really like that colour and it got me to branch out and try other nudes in the MAC range. Blankety is definitely my favourite. It's slightly browner than the other nudes and is described as soft pink beige on the MAC website. It was quite hard to get an accurate photo of it as it looks much darker in the tube than it is on the lip. It's my everyday, goes with everything, go to lipstick.

Number Four: Russian Red by MAC

This was also another impulse buy. I was after Ruby Woo for ages and could never find it in stock so I finally admitted defeat and bought Russian Red instead. Well this was a few years ago and I do now own Ruby Woo but I must say that Russian Red still owns my heart. It's such a great red shade, a matte finish, no where near as drying as Ruby Woo and is perfect for a vintage, pin up look. It's a red with a blueish undertone which I find suits my skin tone well. I have found you can never go wrong with a MAC red lipstick so this one is a must for your make up bag.

Number Five: Vamp by Topshop

I will admit in the tube this lipstick doesn't look like much. In fact it looks like a really horrible brown colour but I can assure you that it is oh oh so more. It's actually a sexy, dirty, berry red colour, something I was searching for for ages only to eventually find it in Topshop. Unfortunately I don't think they stock it any more :(. It's the kind of lipstick that takes an outfit from day to night with just a quick slick. The finish is not the best and it can be slightly drying but the lipstick definitely lives up to it's name!

What's your favourite lipstick?
